Mr. Robert Boyes and Mrs. Annie Boyes (née Rothwell) on their Golden (50th) Anniversary. Robert was born 31 May 1870 in Scotland and was a farmer at Churchill, a prize winning plowman, and an elder in the United Church. Annie was born 6 February 1869 on Conc. 1 near Gilford and was a public school teacher at Fisher's Corners, West Gwillimbury and at Gilford. She was also active in the Presbyterian church (later United), the Women's Institute and various community affairs. She also sat on a committee that started the Simcoe County museum and wrote a weekly column in The Barrie Examiner about the artifacts received by the museum., IHS2661
