Wedding portrait of Mr. and Mrs. William Garfield (b. 29 June 1886) and Birdie Evelyn Cross, who were married on 23 February 1916. They were married at the bride's home at Nantyr, directly across from the old Nantyr School. After they were married they moved to Pontiac, Saskatchewan to farm. They then returned to Ontario for a short period, and later moved westward once again. They eventually returned to Stroud and retired in the house beside the Stroud Post Office (later residence of Norman Sabin).
