The photo shows a one storey red brick house featuring a large front window with distinctive muntins. The door and window trims are white and the photo appears to have been taken in autumn or spring. The Amons built the home on two acres of land acquired through the Veterans Land Act in 1957. They lived their with their seven children: Leonard, Gary, John, Alex, Pat, Dorothy, and Gail. The Amons eventually sold to George Avery and Don and Marg Cole, who divided the land into three lots, and the Coles further added on to the home by building a garage and a family room between the garage and house. The Coles sold to Carlton and Sandra Ashley in 1980.
